Compassion and Humility in Supervision
Saturday, November 06, 2021, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM CDT
Category: Events

Details:

The primary goal of supervision is to support and encourage the growth of new clinicians as they increase their competence and mastery in the art of marriage and family therapy. Join us for a paneled discussion with three accomplished therapists about the role that compassion and humility play in supporting and encouraging supervisee growth by creating safety for challenging conversations, promoting a growth mindset, and creating space for alternative perspectives and worldviews. The panelists will also respond to case study examples to explore these principles in practice. We believe that these are crucial components to supervision that embrace diversity, model ethical principles, and support professional growth of both the supervisee and supervisor.

Panelists: Lena Lopez Bradley Ph.D., LMFT; Teana Harrington, LMFT-S, LPC-S; Alzada Benton, LPC-S
