About the Speaker:

A native Texan, Dr. Alycia DeGraff was born in Lubbock to a military family and has lived all over the world. She attended Texas Tech University, where she completed her B.S. degree in Community, Family, and Addiction Services and her M.S. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. DeGraff earned her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Georgia, where she studied the intersections of mental health, couples' relationship health, and financial health. She has worked in the mental health industry as a clinician, researcher, administrator, consultant, and professor. She has published on the topics of relationship health, provided mentorship and supervision to training therapists, and assisted in opening and operating mental health clinics across the United States. Dr. DeGraff currently owns and operates an Austin-based group practice (Comprehensive Mental Health). She sees clients in her private practice, where she specializes in working with couples, and she is a professor at St. Edwards University, teaching Intro to Systems Theory, Relationships and Sex Therapy, and Practicum/Internship. In her spare time, Dr. DeGraff enjoys camping, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
