Spiritual/religious resources are valuable resources yet are often overlooked by therapists. Based on over 25 years of clinical work, Dr. Barnett will summarize Part 1 of his webinar and continue to share with the audience how to address clients' spiritual and religious resources ethically while considering one's path of spiritual development.

Attendees will:

  1. Learn ways to identify and integrate spiritual resources to enhance hope and stimulate healing
  2. Ensure an ethical approach to helping
  3. Identify ways the therapist can continue spiritual/religious development and enhance multicultural competence in clinical practice.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Kelly Barnett, LMFT-S, LPC-S

Dr. Kelly Barnett is an adjunct professor at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Texas A&M University-Central Texas (15 years). He serves as the Central Texas Chapter President at the Christian Counselors of Texas. He is a retired US Army Chaplain of 25 years and recently retired pastor. He holds a Ph.D. in MFT from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Doctor of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kelly and his wife Coletti have been married 40 years and have two children and four grandchildren.
