About the Webinar: For those who are religious, their faith is often a central part of who they are. This is true for clients as well. Figuring out how to be a therapist who is true to who they are while at the same time being ethically responsible to their clients and the profession is a challenging endeavor for some. This presentation will focus on how clinicians can navigate the intersection of faith and therapy both for them and for their clients. Learning objectives:
REGISTER NOWAbout the Speaker: Dr. Tim Parker completed his PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Tech University, where his dissertation focused on coping and resilience in couples who have a child with Down Syndrome. He also holds a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and a bachelor's degree from Rochester University in Michigan. Tim enjoys teaching and currently serves as Assistant Professor for ACU Dallas in their M.MFT program. He owns a private practice that focuses on working with couples, men, and pre-marital counseling. Originally from Michigan, he now lives in Austin, Texas, with his spouse and 3 children. |
