About the Conference

Relational courage is essential not only in the therapy room, but also in the relationships that shape our professional lives. As marriage and family therapists, we routinely encounter conversations that stretch us—whether we are guiding families through conflict, addressing ruptures with colleagues, navigating supervisory challenges, or engaging in vulnerable dialogue within our professional community.

This year's conference, Relational Courage: The Art of Navigating Difficult Conversations, explores how therapists cultivate the bravery required to speak truth with care, listen with openness, and remain grounded when tensions rise. Together, we will examine the skills and stances that support courageous communication across all relational contexts, transforming them into opportunities for connection, growth, and healing.
